Hello ,

I once used the following command to drop a database in RAC environment and it was successful.
/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/DB1/bin/dbca -silent -deleteDatabase -sourceDB AD0001C -sysDBAUserName SYS -sysDBAPassword Passw0rd
then insure that /etc/oratab is clean on all nodes

My question is shall i use the same command to drop a database for standalone database ?
Can you clarify ?

Regards,
Srini

Balaji/Ajit/Jack/Mohan/Mathew/Suhas/Srini,

This is the kind of question you could answer by yourself just trying it instead of relying on a forum answer which can be wrong.
Now you have a "yes" and then? Will you blindly trust it or will you try and check if it is actually done? In the later, why did you post the question before this test?
In short, the topic is completely useless and just a waste of time, for you, for us, for any reader.

Yes you are absolutely correct.I should have tried myself and then posted my question here if i had faced any problem in the middle.
In addidtion to that i should first try to install Oracle on my machine and then go for testing.I will soon do that.
In one point of view your answer is correct. But never mind who i am . And i am not an enemy to anybody here on this forum.
All i want to say is 'Think positive and be positive' so that your life will be positive'.

Srini

So don't sign if you don't want to give your real name.

What are you going to do by knowing my real name Smile ? I am eager to know your answer.
Do you think everyone is using their real name and has single account on this forum:) ?

Nothing, it is a matter of honesty.

Maybe not but they are quite rare, and I doubt they have ten or so like you.
So why are you using several accounts? We have asked you this several times and you never answered.
I am eager to know your answer. Smile

So once again you lie and you will create a new account to get answers to your next questions.
